OUR MENUS
A seafood adventure awaits
All our seafood is sourced from day boats on the south coast and the crystal clear lochs of the west coast of Scotland, and our menu changes daily to reflect the best available market landings and changing seasons.
Behind it all is a commitment to sustainability, and to champion a regenerative approach to fishing using low impact methods. All our seafood comes from UK waters, with the exception of wild Atlantic prawns and the nation’s favourite cod; caught sustainably in Icelandic waters and frozen at sea within 24 hours.
We offer smaller portions for little ones, alongside some classics, so please ask the team for the children’s menu on the day of your visit.
{ Daily Menu }
The exciting thing about seafood is that it’s a wild product, so the day boats and markets (even the weather) inform the daily-changing menu. You can expect to see traditional fish & chips, simply grilled fish and shellfish and the freshest fruits de mer, ideal for sharing, or not!
Alongside a great source of protein, vitamins, minerals and omega 3, eating fish offers a wealth of health benefits. Fresh sardines are cardioprotective and support bone health; oysters are a rich in nutrients; and mussels are an excellent source of iron – to name a few.
We rumble, peel and cut sackfuls of the best British spuds daily, for the perfect fluffy and delicious chips, and everything from flavoured butters to fishcakes are homemade in house.
{ The Lock Keeper’s Menu }
Bringing you the best possible value is always important us, especially over lunch and early evening. Our Lock Keeper’s Menu offers a changing choice of three dishes, all served with fresh cut chips, homemade mushy peas, tartare sauce and a proper mug of Yorkshire tea for £14.50. Available over lunch daily, from 12 - 3pm and Monday to Thursday, from 5 - 6.30pm.
{ Seafood Over Coals x Bristol Seafood Week }
Join us on our newly reimagined covered and heated Terrace for a convivial monthly grill night, returning on 7 July to celebrate Bristol Seafood Week. We’ll have a special 5-course menu, featuring Orkney Isle scallops, Brixham cuttlefish, Dorset lobster and Cornish monkfish, all cooked on our charcoal grill.
We’ll have two sittings for this event: 5.45 for 6pm and 8.15pm. Please note, this will be the only menu running on the terrace on the night. Our usual daily menus will be running inside.
{ Wine & Drinks }
We have a carefully curated selection of fizz and wines to complement our dishes, alongside local beer, cider, spirits and soft drinks.
{ Children’s Menu }
Youngsters can tuck into smaller portions of traditional favourites, designed with under 12s in mind.
