A seafood adventure awaits

All our seafood is sourced from day boats on the south coast and the crystal clear lochs of the west coast of Scotland, and our menu changes daily to reflect the best available market landings and changing seasons.

Behind it all is a commitment to sustainability, and to champion a regenerative approach to fishing using low impact methods. All our seafood comes from UK waters, with the exception of wild Atlantic prawns and the nation’s favourite cod; but you can rest assured that every one of those is MSC approved.

We offer smaller portions for little ones, alongside some classics, so please ask the team for the children’s menu on the day of your visit.

The exciting thing about seafood is that it’s a wild product, so the day boats and markets (even the weather) inform the daily-changing menu. You can expect to see traditional fish & chips, simply grilled fish and shellfish and the freshest fruits de mer, ideal for sharing, or not!

We rumble, peel and cut sackfuls of the best British spuds daily, for the perfect fluffy and delicious chips, and everything from flavoured butters to fishcakes are homemade in house.

{ The Lock Keeper’s Lunch }

Bringing you the best possible value is always important us, but never more so at lunch. Our Lock Keeper’s Lunch menu offers a changing choice of three dishes, all served with fresh cut chips, homemade mushy peas, tartare sauce and a proper mug of Yorkshire tea for £12.95. Available Tuesday – Sunday, from 12-3pm.

The early bird catches the teatime treats! Book in from 5 - 6.30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday to enjoy a choice of à la carte mains – always including our classic prime cod – with a Moretti, glass of house wine or soft drink for just £15.

Being just a stone’s throw from Ashton Gate Stadium, we’re serving our Match Day Menu ahead of any evening rugby or football game. You’ll find a choice of à la carte mains, served with a Moretti, glass of house wine or a soft drink for £15. Available from 5-6.30pm, it’s perfect for early birds too.
